There are two aspects of all
Buzzsprout Pricing that you will want to be familiar with:
Allowance and Overage. We will break them down here!
Allowance
Buzzsprout plans are structured around how much time you upload each billing cycle. We refer to this as your upload allowance, and you can track it on your
Home page.

When you upload an episode, the time/length of the audio file will be deducted from your monthly allowance. For example, if you are on the six-hour plan and you upload an hour-long episode, you will have five hours left for that billing cycle.
On your
Home page, click on the
Allowance Bar, and you’ll see all your upload allowance details: remaining time, billing cycle renewal date, and episodes you’ve uploaded during the cycle.
Pro Tip: Since unused hours don't roll over to future cycles, you can upload episodes early and schedule them for a future publish date. That way, you can use up your available allowance!
Important: Allowance is deducted when you upload an audio file. So, if you upload an episode but schedule it for a future cycle, it will still count towards the billing cycle you're currently in.
Overage
Our plans include a set allowance, but you can use overage hours to customize your plan. For example, if you plan to upload eight hours of content each cycle, you choose our 6hr/month plan and add two hours of overage!
Overage hours are priced individually and range from $2/hour to $4/hour depending on
your monthly plan:
- $4/overage hour on the $19/month plan
- $3/overage hour on the $39/month plan
- $2/overage hour on the $79/month plan
When is overage charged?
You don't need to purchase overage ahead of time. If you go over your allowance, the overage charges will automatically be included in your next invoice. Just like with your allowance, you can monitor your overage on your Allowance page in your account.
Note: Annual plans do not allow overage. If you need additional allowance on an annual plan, you’ll need to upgrade to a larger plan by going to
